Biography

Gökhan Gökmen studies how individuals and organisations learn to think creatively about the future. A lecturer at Bursa Technical University and a Strathclyde PhD graduate, he works across strategic foresight, scenario planning, creativity, affect and the psychology of decision-making under uncertainty. His current projects include EU-funded initiatives in marine spatial planning and sustainable urban water systems. His work is guided by the idea that how we frame uncertainty shapes whether we respond to it with rigidity or creativity.
