Biography

Siripan Deesilatham, PhD is a Lecturer in Marketing at the Business School, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. Her research examines motivation, self-image congruence, lifestyle congruence, and quality of life, with additional contributions to inclusive tourism, social entrepreneurship, and digital consumer behaviour. She has received several distinguished awards, including the Apple Distinguished Educator Award (2023), multiple UTCC Research Excellence Awards (2018, 2019, 2021), the Emerald/EFMD Doctoral Research Highly Commended Award (2018), the Best Paper Award at the 50th Academy of Marketing Conference (2017), and a Highly Commended Award at the 3rd World Research Summit for Tourism and Hospitality (2015). Dr Deesilatham has secured competitive international funding, including £45,365 from the Newton Institutional Links and Thailand Research Fund (2018–2020) and £44,000 from the Newton Fund Research Links (2017–2018) for projects on women’s empowerment and inclusive innovation in tourism. She has also served as a marketing and strategic management consultant for several national organisations and has co-chaired major international conferences in tourism and hospitality research.
