Biography

Clive Boddy has been researching the effects of having psychopaths in the workplace since 2005. Despite initial scepticism from fellow academics, his groundbreaking work on corporate psychopaths is now firmly established and accepted and the term ‘corporate psychopath’ has firmly entered the lexicon. Currently Associate Professor of Management at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK Clive was previously Professor of Management at the University of Tasmania and before that Professor of Leadership at Middlesex University in London. His research interests include toxic leadership and, in particular, researching the effects of corporate psychopaths on employees, organisations and society. Clive’s publications on corporate psychopaths include over fifty papers, several chapters, two doctorates and three books; 'Corporate Psychopaths A Research Handbook", “Corporate Psychopaths: Organisational Destroyers” and “A Climate of Fear: Stone Cold Psychopaths at Work”. Clive has thus published more on corporate psychopaths than any other academic, and is ranked by 'Scholar GPS' as being in the top 0.19% of business academics worldwide in terms of research productivity, Standford/Elsevier (2025) academic rankings place Clive above recent Nobel Prize winners. In his talk, Clive will mention the modern world leaders who are gauged to be psychopathic and how this may impact any upcoming nuclear war.
