Biography

Dr Esta (Zixuan) Qi is an Associate Lecturer at the UCL Global Business School for Health. She has also held research and teaching roles at leading institutions including UCL Human-Computer Interaction Center (Demonstrator), Tsinghua SIGS (Visiting Scholar), and King’s College London (Guest Lecturer). She holds a PhD in Psychology from UCL Faculty of Brain Sciences and is a behavioural scientist and applied occupational psychologist with expertise in individual differences, psychometrics, quantitative research, and innovation. Her research investigates how personality traits drive innovation across organisational contexts, with a particular focus on developing advanced psychometric assessments of entrepreneurial personality. By integrating insights from psychology, psychometrics, and entrepreneurship, her work delivers both scholarly contributions and practical applications—providing organisations with data-driven strategies to strengthen innovation capacity. Beyond academia, Esta has led and contributed to projects in leadership psychometrics, psychoinformatics, consulting, and business analysis, with experience spanning start-ups, universities, and cross-functional research teams. Her work consistently bridges theory and practice, offering validated tools and actionable insights that enhance human potential and support decision-making at scale.
