Biography

Dr Caroline Tite is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Winchester in Business Management and has a range of academic experience in Higher Education as well as industrial experience managing engineering projects in manufacturing industry. In Higher Education she worked as a Senior Lecturer in Engineering Materials and has led degree programmes: BSc Business Technology Management, MSc Condition Monitoring, and more recently BA Project Management. Caroline worked for a number of organisations in manufacturing industry where her experience includes managing large design, build, test and installation projects initially with Pall Marine, Hamburg and later at Aish Technologies Ltd, Poole. She has managed projects for the Ministry of Defence, Babcock and BAE Systems, delivering defence equipment for surface ships and nuclear submarines for the Royal Navy. More recently at Pall Corporation, Portsmouth she has managed projects for Glaxo Smith Kline, Pfizer, Baxter, Bayer, supplying chromatography columns and equipment for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, and was awarded the “President Award”. Research areas include application of condition monitoring in manufacture, knowledge management in automotive manufacture organisations and more recently programme and project management, and project management education.
