Biography

CHUI Lai Man, Susanna Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship, De Montfort University PhD (Durham), MRES (Exeter), MA (Leicester), BA(Hons) (York). Currently, Susanna teaches and conducts research in areas related to sustainability, entrepreneurship, leadership and organisational behaviour at Leicester Castle Business School of De Montfort University in the United Kingdom. Her research interests include work identities, thriving workplace, social entrepreneurship, and social impact measurement. She has published in major journals including Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Organizational Behavior and Journal of World Development. She is now steering three major research projects thriving workplace, social entrepreneurship, and leadership development of non-prototypical leaders. She is currently working on an impact case study for the 2029 Research Excellence Framework submission. Her leadership is also driving a portfolio of papers on thriving workplace and employees, leadership and leadership development and an Edward Elgar teaching casebook on social entrepreneurship and sustainability. Susanna is also passionate about community services. With over 13 years of experience serving on government committees; working with social enterprises and non-government organisations on research and training; and serving on advisory boards for social enterprises and non-government organisations, she has created impacts for the society on training and research.
