Biography

Dr Alam holds a PhD in Management from Macquarie University, where he investigated innovation ecosystems in Silicon Valley (USA) and Sydney (Australia). He brings more than twenty years of industry knowledge from different cultures and sectors, including military, aviation, meteorology, and gemology. He has taught several units at the University of Sydney Business School, Macquarie Business School, and the University of Technology Sydney Business School. His teaching and research interests include open innovation ecosystems, strategy, and international business. He has published on these topics in several journals, including the Academy of Management Discoveries, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Innovation and Knowledge, Journal of Management and Organization, and Strategic Change.
