Biography

Dr. Ping Zheng, a Reader in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Christ Church Business School and the Chair of the Faculty Ethics Panel at CCCU, holds a PhD in Management from the University of Kent (2007) and an MBA (2003). She was awarded the Senior Fellowship of Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in 2024. Her research interests encompass entrepreneurial growth, strategic development, institutional transformation, and business innovation, with a specific focus on creative processes that foster future innovations. Her work has garnered significant recognition both nationally and internationally. In 2018, she provided advisory services to the European Policy Centre and was invited to deliver a keynote speech at Dstl, the UK Minister of Defence. She received a grant from the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) as a co-investigator and led a knowledge commercialization project in South Africa from 2019 to 2022. Recently, she co-founded the Council Company Network with Wiltshire Council to share best practices in council-owned companies and promote business-driven research and public sector entrepreneurship. She currently serves as a visiting professor at Jilin University in China.
