I am an Associate Professor of Sustainability & Global Strategy at ESCP Business School and Local Academic Director of the ESCP Masters in Management Programme (Ranked 5th Worldwide by the Financial Times). I gained my Ph.D from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick (UK), where I hold the position of Fellow. Prior to joining ESCP, I have held positions at Loughborough University School of Business & Economics (UK) and Henley Business School, University of Reading (UK) - where I was a member of the John H. Dunning Centre for International Business. My main research interests lie in the study of ‘Corporate Social Irresponsibility’ (CSiR). As such, my research explores enduring regulatory, business, and societal challenges, such as; penalising and curbing irresponsible conduct, the ‘dark side’ of international business, unsustainable and/or hypocritical corporate behaviour, the strategic management of institutional complexity, as well as the use and abuse of tax havens. My research has won multiple awards, including Best Paper Awards from the Academy of Management and British Academy of Management. My research has also been published in leading outlets, such as; Journal of World Business, British Journal of Management, International Journal of Management Reviews, and the Oxford Handbook of International Business Strategy (Oxford University Press). Last year, Giulio also won the 'British Journal of Management Best Reviewer Award 2021.'
