Biography

Brief Profile Professor Joshua Adewale Adejuwon is a Professor of Accounting and Management, Lead City University, Ibadan, Nigeria. His first degree (B.Sc.) is in Accounting from the University of Lagos (June, 1978). He later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ibadan (1995) and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Business Administration from Lead City University, Ibadan (2019). Professor Adejuwon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); a full member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (MNIM); a Fellow of the Association of Forensic Accounting Researchers (FAFAR) and a Fellow of the Association of Management and Social Sciences Researchers of Nigeria (FAMSSRN). He was the pioneer Bursar of Lead City University, a former Director of Lead City University Microfinance Bank 131 Limited and a former Head of the Department of Management and Accounting of Lead City University He was the pioneer Director of Finance and Administration of the Eduserve Consult Group, He was the pioneer administrator for College Press (now Lead City University Press), and EDU Communications Ltd. He pioneered preparation of the group’s staff conditions of service. Professor Adejuwon founded the Lead City University Cooperative Society. He is a great leader, an enviable mentor, a trainer and a role model. Before joining the Eduserve Consult group in November 1998, Professor Adejuwon had acquired many years of experience in accounting, finance, and administration in both the private and public sectors of the Nigerian economy. These included: Sokoto State Water Board for NYSC (1978/1979), Accountant II at the Nigerian National Supply Company Limited (1979 /1980), Accountant I at the Oyo State College of Arts and Science, Ile-Ife (1980 – 1982), Senior Internal Auditor at the Investment and Credit Corporation of Oyo State (March - June 1982), Chief Accountant and later Managing Director of Caxton Press (WA) Ltd, Ibadan (1982 -1995) and Group Chief Accountant of Dalami Nig. Limited, Osogbo (1995 -1999). He is a highly committed professional and academic with a focus on the development of Accounting and Management courses through teaching, research and community service. At the professional level, Professor Adejuwon has held several positions, including Chairman, the Research & Technical Committee, Ibadan & District Society of ICAN (2007-2009) Chairman, Library Committee, Ibadan & District Society of ICAN (2012 to 2014) Chairman, Publications Committee, Ibadan & District Society of ICAN (May 2014 to May 2018) Examination Assessor, ICAN (1995-2009) Examination Reviewer, ICAN (2010 to 2020) Journal Articles Reviewer: African Journal of Business And Economic Research (AJBER) Journal Articles Reviewer: Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) Journal Articles Reviewer, Journal of African Development Journal Articles Reviewer, Lead City Journal of the Social Sciences (LCJSS) Journal Editorial Advisory Board Member, Association of Forensic Researchers (AFAR). He was the 2023 Annual Award Winner of the prestigious Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Ibadan and District Society. His research focuses on Accounting, Finance, Taxation and Management, which are critical to organisational and national sustainable development. His vision is to enhance research capacity generally, continue publishing in top-ranking academic and professional journals, attain legendary status in his field, and achieve self-fulfilment in Accounting and Management. Additionally, he aims to continue mentoring younger academics and professionals, thus aligning his research efforts with societal needs.
