Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in the College of Leadership and Innovation at Buckinghamshire New University, where I lead and teach on Chartered Management and Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeships. My work focuses on work-based learning, contextualisation, and creating collaborative learning environments that draw on the professional expertise of my students. My career began in marketing, spanning both traditional and digital disciplines, before transitioning into digital learning and learning management systems. Since 2001, I have worked extensively in apprenticeships as an assessor and internal verifier, experiencing first-hand the evolution of apprenticeship frameworks into standards and progressing into higher education in 2017. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, assessor and internal verifier qualifications, a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (achieving Fellowship with the Chartered Institute of Marketing), an MSc in Marketing, and a Level 7 qualification with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD). I also hold a Professional Diploma in Digital Learning Design, am a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and have completed Mental Health First Aid training. I am currently working towards a DBA, and an MA in Education, continuing my commitment to research and professional development in higher education and apprenticeships.
