Abstract
This systematic literature review synthesizes 43 peer-reviewed studies from 2000 to 2025 on the intersection of mindfulness meditation and entrepreneurship, addressing two key research questions: (1) What is the current state of the scientific literature on this relationship? and (2) What theoretical and empirical contributions highlight mindfulness's role in entrepreneurial contexts? We analyzed trends, meditation types, populations (entrepreneurs: 56.82%; students/education: 36.36%; intrapreneurs: 6.82%), methodologies, and outcomes across diverse geographic regions. Findings reveal that mindfulness, through mechanisms like emotional regulation, self-efficacy, and cognitive flexibility, fosters resilience, entrepreneurial intention, creativity, innovation, and well-being, with 72.22% of empirical studies reporting positive effects. However, the field remains fragmented, with limited causal evidence and theoretical integration. This review bridges psychological and entrepreneurial domains, identifying gaps for future research—such as longitudinal interventions and culturally diverse applications—and offering practical insights for entrepreneurs, educators, and policymakers to enhance psychological resilience in high-stakes environments.
