Abstract
This study reviews the impact of air pollution on the investor’s decision-making through behavioural finance mechanisms. We identify four areas based on an integrative review. Based on inductive analysis, these components are combined into a single theoretical framework that describes the interrelationships between the themes and how they together contribute to investor decision making. The paper makes a theoretical contribution by evaluating the relationship between air pollution and investor decision-making. Overall, it offers insights for policymakers to adopt economic policies that integrate environmental risk factors into financial theory, regulation, and sustainability-oriented policy frameworks.
