Abstract
The construction sector continues to face increasing stakeholder pressure to adopt Industry 5.0 technologies and sustainable construction practices to foster smart, sustainable cities. However, there is a paucity of research examining the applications of Industry 5.0 to achieve sustainable project success (SPS). To bridge this gap, we examine how construction firms can leverage Industry 5.0 enablers to enhance SPS, focusing on green innovation adoption (GIA) and stakeholder pressure (SP). A quantitative cross-sectional survey of 522 construction professionals in Pakistan was analyzed using the PLS-SEM technique. The results demonstrate that Industry 5.0 enablers significantly enhance SPS, with GIA as a mediator. Further, SP positively moderates between Industry 5.0 enablers and GIA, emphasizing the role of external legitimacy pressures. The research offers novel insights for industry practitioners, public policymakers, and academic researchers seeking to foster sustainable, smart, and resilient cities.
