Abstract
The research paper aims to identify the association between digital governance strategies and its impact on the idea of natural resource management as well as sustainable development. In order to conduct this research study, the method opted mainly relies upon qualitative analysis in which data collection from different secondary sources has been performed. The data has been mainly collected from authentic and reliable sources, libraries and databases, whereas the relevant case studies have also been included and emphasized in this paper. The concept of natural resource management has been gaining momentum during last few years and there are multiple strategies introduced for its conservation till now. The paper identifies that poverty, inflation, deprivation of basic necessities and illegal and inappropriate use of resources have been some major causes, which might result in scarcity of these resources for future generations. Also, the case studies proved that government’s contribution and interference somewhat lead to better and improved results, especially when the governments provide sufficient funds, resources and research facilities to the groups and communities, participating in natural resource conservation projects. It is further recommended that governments should spend more in digitalization of the procedures, databases and other important activities being performed within the rural and urban areas, to acquire more transparency, accountability, integration as well as cost effectiveness of the procedures being followed. This will not only promote the concept of natural resource management, but will also provide sustainability development for future generations.
