Abstract
Financial literacy remains a persistent challenge in developing economies despite the accelerated pace of digital transformation and the expansion of financial technologies. This study examines how Responsible Generative AI can enhance financial literacy through the Information Systems Success Model (ISSM) in Indonesia. By modelling explainability (information quality), adaptability (system quality), and autonomy (service quality) as antecedents of GenAI usage and user satisfaction, which in turn drive net benefits for financial literacy outcomes. Survey data for 204 Indonesian users focused on digital financial services and GenAI tools were analysed using PLS-SEM. Findings show that explainability significantly increases both usage and satisfaction; adaptability improves satisfaction, but not usage; and autonomy promotes usage without affecting satisfaction. Usage and satisfaction both positively influence perceived net benefits, which strongly predict financial literacy. The study extends ISSM to a Responsible GenAI context and offers practical insights for leveraging transparent, user-centred AI to support financial inclusion.
