Abstract
The purpose of the present study is to examine the role of parent’s expatriate assignment in the development of Intelligent Career Competencies among expatriate children. Based on the Intelligent Career Theory, the author tries to put up a moderated model using a proactive personality as a moderator to account for the variance due to individual-level traits in this process. The discussion is centered on the factors affecting this development namely, the Duration and Breadth of the assignment along with the Breadth of the child’s peer group. The model endeavours to contribute by providing an economical understanding of the process.
