Abstract
This paper examines how adopting data-driven decision-making in organisations changes the C-suite role. The qualitative research design (interviews with 18 C-level executives) was employed. The study shows that adopting a data-driven decision-making (DDDM) process allows executives to focus on the higher priority tasks, gain more confidence, and reduce risk in decision-making. These findings have implications for executives to enhance the quality and confidence in their decision-making. Furthermore, the identified internal motivators might help executives to encourage DDDM adoption in organisations.
