Abstract
This paper aims to examine the moderating role of Employee Voice (EV) in the relationship between Work-to-Personal Conflict (WPC) and Job Satisfaction (JS) of employees. Data were collected from 478 employees working in various organizations in the Information Technology industry of India using time-lagged surveys (Study 1, n = 222; Study 2, n= 256). The analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22 and IBM SPSS Amos Version 24 software. The results of both studies indicate that WPC correlated negatively with JS, and EV correlated positively with JS. Also, in low levels of WPC, EV acts as a moderator in the relationship between WPC and JS but failed to moderate the relationship when WPC was high. The study highlights the importance of the moderating role of EV in reducing the negative influence of WPC on JS, which is a new concept in the interrole conflict literature.
