Abstract
Current systematic reviews on organizational resilience struggle with diverse contextual features, intervention components, mechanisms, and outcomes, complicating synthesis. This gap hinders understanding of effectively cultivating resilience organisational settings and designing for it intentionally. Questions persist regarding methods and organizational configurations leading to resilience outcomes. This study introduces a novel qualitative comparative synthesis to address these issues. Unlike existing reviews, this synthesis uncovers underlying mechanisms behind four resilience outcomes, providing deep insights for researchers and practitioners. By elucidating generative mechanisms, it facilitates the development of contextually informed design propositions, that can be used to inform decision making and action in addressing resilience challenges.
