Abstract
This research paper will conduct an exploratory study on the issue and challenges related to international expansion that is faced by South Asian entrepreneurs working in the restaurant industry in the UK. The purpose of the study is to formulate strategies so that the South Asian restaurant owners can generate new revenue streams. The research recognised the problem that although south Asian cuisine is popular around the globe yet there are no popular UK based South Asian restaurants owners that have expanded to international markets. The study included interviewing 15 restaurants experts who contributed from their knowledge and experience. The study also reviewed the concept of ethnic entrepreneurship and its impact to conducting restaurant business in the London region. The findings of this study were thought-provoking which helped to understand the major challenges and issues that South Asian entrepreneurs face including lack of marketing, financial planning, having specialists etc in their restaurant business.
