Abstract
It is widely recognized that artificial intelligence (AI) can significantly influence entrepreneurship. Recent studies have started to explore how AI affects the way entrepreneurs think and make decisions. This research extends to international entrepreneurship, proposing that using AI can enhance international performance by promoting more causal decision-making approaches. Using a time-lagged survey, we tested this annotation through a study involving 429 tech-based entrepreneurial firms in Bangladesh and India. Our findings highlight the critical role that causal decision-making plays in linking AI use with international performance. Additionally, we found that this connection between AI and causal decision-making becomes more robust when the quality of AI-provided information is high. This emphasizes the vital role of data quality in AI applications, suggesting that the effectiveness of AI in aiding entrepreneurial decisions internationally depends greatly on the quality of the data it processes.
