Abstract
There is a growing emphasis on linking virtuous behaviors with organizational dynamics to enhance individual and organizational outcomes. Drawing upon the tenets of positive organizational scholarship, this research investigates the relationship between organizational virtuousness, employee morale and high-quality relationships. Specifically, we examine the effect of organizational virtuousness on employee morale directly and indirectly through the mediation of high-quality relationship. Data from 249 employees working in the banking sector was collected through a questionnaire. Results highlight a positive association between organizational virtuousness and employee morale, indicative of virtuous practices’ impact on workplace morale. Additionally, organizations fostering virtuous behaviors were found to cultivate high-quality relationships, further enhancing morale. The study contributes empirical evidence on the mediating role of high-quality relationships, providing valuable insights for organizational management to foster a positive work environment conducive to employee morale.
