Abstract
This research work aims to examine how the Individual Work Performance (IWP) of employees is affected in the presence of Work-to-Personal Conflict (WPC) in different Work Cultures (WC). Also, we intend to test if Supervisor Support (SS) can prevent harm caused to IWP of employees when they face WPC situations. Data were collected from 478 employees working in various organizations in the Information Technology industry of India using time-lagged surveys (Study 1, n = 222; Study 2, n= 256). The analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22 and IBM SPSS Amos Version 24 software. The results of both studies indicate that WC correlated negatively with WPC, WPC correlated negatively with IWP, and WC correlated positively with IWP. Also, WPC mediated the relationship between WC and IWP. SS could play the role of a moderator only in low WPC scenarios.
