Abstract
Loads of empirical and theoretical research aim to study the mechanisms that contribute to developing dynamic capabilities, however, little attention is oriented towards the role of corporate mechanisms. To address this gap, we rely on the Dynamic Capabilities Theory through Teece’s (2007) model of sensing, seizing and transforming. Therefore, this paper presents a qualitative study to explore how corporate governance mechanisms contribute to the development of sensing, seizing and reconfiguring dynamic capabilities within a French innovative sample. We further discuss theoretical and managerial implications and also propose potential future avenues.
