Abstract
Entrepreneurial ecosystems (EEs) have become a central focus in management research for understanding the dynamics that foster innovation, business growth, and economic development. However, this concept has not been widely integrated into business history, despite its relevance in examining the historical evolution of regional enterprise development. Analysing EEs from a historical perspective offers the potential to deepen our understanding of how economic conditions, institutional frameworks, and entrepreneurial actors interact across various time periods and regions.
