Abstract
The aim of this paper is to investigate how subordinates’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB-S) towards his supervisor mediates the relation between Supervisor’s Knowledge Hiding (SKH) behavior and regret that prevails in him after hiding knowledge from his subordinate. The study proposes to collect data from employees working in the shop floor level. Dyadic data from subordinate and his/her supervisor would be collected to understand the impact on OCB-S after SKH. The author hypothesizes a reduction in subordinate’s OCB-S after SKH. Also, SKH is hypothesized to result in a feeling of regret for the supervisor. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling will be used for analysis. Prior research has mainly focused on victim centric research. In other words, impact of SKH on subordinate and the organization have been studied. This study emphasizes the impact on victim as well as the actor after knowledge hiding. Moreover, this is probably among the first few studies to introduce regret in the realm of KH in a vertical relation in organization.
