Abstract
Despite operating with an illusion of freedom of choice, Agents are constantly making trade-offs, negotiations, navigating boundaries between their personal beliefs and those of the Organization. Success is defined by adherence to the norm. But what happens when the agents’ belief does not align with the group’s belief? Doubt emerges.
Doubt may lead Agents to question the organizational equilibrium formed. Doubt avoidance serves Organizational control and power. As a coping mechanism, Agents have developed strategies to keep Doubt at bay in order to avoid being ostracized. Yet Doubt is one of the essence of our humanity and our grey matter key to innovation, creativity and progress. Doubt Avoidance in lieu of trust and discernment is preventing Organizations to capitalize on its Agents ability to better efficiency and Management Practices via enhanced Decision Making
