Abstract
The challenge we face is to achieve long term behavioral change to promote responsible consumption. People need to manage their activities causing minimal impacts to the environment to confront the environmental and societal concerns impacting people’s well-being and quality of life while working towards business sustainability. This requires the creation of new sustainable behaviours. This will require that we design interventions targeted at changing habitual consumption behaviors to foster new long-lasting behaviors to promote people’s health and planetary health which are important to ensure business sustainability. This developmental paper explores how habit architecture is significant for broader sustainable outcomes for our people, planet and business. The paper aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3, 12, 17.
