Abstract
This paper seeks to investigate the factors impacting the adoption of QR code based FinTech solutions within the United Kingdom's restaurant sector. Analysis of a comprehensive three-stage literature review produced a conceptual framework that details the factors affecting QR code adoption. This framework guides the pilot and primary research, offering initial practical advice to researchers studying FinTech implementation within the restaurant sector. The generative review provided direction for a novel integrated TAM and TOE conceptual framework to support understanding merchant’s perspective of the drivers and barriers for QRS adoption in UK restaurants.
