Abstract
It is well acknowledged, that artificial intelligence (AI) is broadly impacting institutional roles and employees throughout most commercial organisations. Generative AI (GenAI) is further supporting this transformation, providing employees with more direct access to and understanding of the power of AI technology. Initial research suggests most employees are aware of the potential of GenAI, what is less clear is how GenAI is being accepted and utilised in the workplace. Research is emerging on how GenAI is being integrated into human resource management (HRM) practice to create efficiencies and support employee populations. This paper represents one part of a broader study on HRM and AI adoption. This empirical investigation examines HR managers perceptions, attitudes, and intention to adopt GenAI technology in the workplace. Study findings include support of five (of six total) hypotheses and discusses the potential future implications GenAI may have on HRM.
