Abstract
In this study, the author(s) presents the Cognitive-AI Framework, a novel approach designed to integrate the advanced capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) into educational practices. Addressing the growing prevalence of AI tools such as GPT and PaLM in learning environments, the paper explores the need to shift from traditional pedagogical methods towards a more dynamic, AI-inclusive model. Through a combination of non-participant observations and grounded theory analysis, the research delineates a five-stage framework—Explore, Engage, Examine, Formulate, and Reflect—each stage crafted to enhance critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and creative problem-solving in conjunction with AI technology. Practical applications across various educational settings demonstrate the framework's adaptability and effectiveness. The study balances the potential of AI to transform learning experiences with the challenges and ethical considerations of its integration, advocating for an educational paradigm that judiciously melds the efficiency of AI with the essential human qualities of empathy, ethics, and creativity. This work underscores the importance of evolving educational frameworks in response to rapid advancements in AI, preparing learners to proficiently navigate and influence an increasingly AI-integrated future.
