Abstract
Sri lanka struggles with econmic crisis as well as climate crisis.Climate change presents unique challenges for developing economies striving to achieve carbon neutrality while maintaining economic growth. This study examines in an econmically disrupted country like Sri Lanka how digital innovation can advance carbon neutrality initiatives among agricultural Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Sri Lanka. Through a Delphi study involving 12 experts, the research investigates the integration of digital innovation and sustainable practices in achieving carbon neutrality. The findings reveal that while Sri Lankan agricultural SMEs face significant challenges in implementing carbon-neutral practices, innovative solutions combining digital technology and traditional knowledge offer promising pathways forward. The study identifies key barriers including limited access to finance, technological gaps, and policy implementation challenges, while proposing actionable recommendations for policymakers and practitioners. These insights contribute to the broader understanding of carbon neutrality implementation in uncertain times in developing economies like Sri Lanka and offer practical solutions for sustainable agricultural development.
