Abstract
This study explores the intersection of migration, masculinity, and platform labor within the food delivery sector. Leveraging institutional theory and the intersectionality framework, it investigates the systemic forces shaping the labor experiences of male migrant workers, including the interplay between governance structures and societal expectations. Using 27 semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis, the research highlights systemic inequalities, challenges in societal integration, and resilience strategies employed by workers. Anticipated findings will contribute to understanding the transformative impact of gig economies on labor relations and societal structures, offering actionable insights for policymakers and platform governance to address systemic inequities and foster inclusive labor models.
