Abstract
This study explores the impact of Workplace Incivility (WpI) on Creativity (CRVTY) and Individual Work Performance (IWP), with Interpersonal Conflict (IC) as a mediator. It also examines the moderating role of General Self-Efficacy (GSE) in the IC-CRVTY and IC-IWP relationships. Data were collected from 542 employees in India’s construction industry using time-lagged surveys and analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 22 and Amos 24. Findings indicate that IC partially mediates both WpI-CRVTY and WpI-IWP relationships, while GSE significantly moderates these associations. Notably, employees with high GSE perform better and exhibit greater creativity regardless of IC levels. This study uniquely contributes to research on WpI and IC in the construction sector, emphasizing the role of GSE in mitigating negative effects and enhancing employee performance and creativity.
