Abstract
Contemporary organizations are transforming their competitive strategies in response to two mega trends i.e., digitalization and sustainability. Both, researchers, and practitioners are demanding novel tools that help in bridging digital and sustainable goals of an organization into new competitive strategies. To fill this demand, our work presents a conceptual six-dimensional strategic analysis tool (6DSAT). The creation of this tool is based on two sources: a literature review and pilot-testing workshops with enterprises and students with start-up ideas which are from eleven different countries and four different continents on university level. Our results impart six interconnected core dimensions for mapping a long-term digital sustainable competitive advantage. Furthermore, results from workshops show that our conceptual tool helped all start-ups and students in mapping a digital sustainable competitive strategy for their current and future business ideas.
