Abstract
Prior research suggests that although entrepreneurial orientation (EO) is generally positively associated with firm performance, several context-specific features and contingencies may affect this relationship. Accordingly, this article focuses on the specific context of migrant enterprises (MEs) during COVID-19 pandemic and introduces firm resilience capability as a mediator in understanding the relationship between EO and firm performance. Analysing a sample of 482 MEs, we found that EO and firm resilience capability positively influence the financial performance and the growth of MEs during the COVID 19 pandemic. Specifically, we found that firm resilience capability partially mediates the positive relationship between EO and financial performance, and growth of MEs. Notably, the study suggests that MEs should strengthen their EO to improve their resilience capability.
