Abstract
This qualitative study addresses knowledge gaps related to Chinese immigrant women entrepreneurs (CiMWEs) by focusing on the revealed entrepreneurial experiences of women immigrants from China with an established company in Germany and strives to give exposure to this group of women as the research counts for one the few studies which sheds light on the narratives of Chinese immigrant women entrepreneurs in Germany and their family support by evidence. Adopting an interpretative phenomenological analysis approach on 10 CiMWEs in Germany, women entrepreneurs’ perception about family support is made sense and analysed within the family social capital theory framework. The factors affecting family social capital and the conceptualised dimensions in this specific phenomenon are demonstrated. Interesting nuances are discovered in the intra-group and inspiring narratives and voice are highlighted.
