Abstract
This paper develops a theoretical lens for a process-theory rooted perspective on business advice projects. The research asks how advisers are organising situated business advice processes applying a process-relational lens. The theoretical process-theory considerations are based on and illustrated by findings from semi-structured interviews with business advisers and business advice experts. The findings and discussion develop a theoretical lens that conceptualises business advice situations as assemblages of adviser, advice taker, socio-material contexts that are temporal and ongoing, rooted in strong process ontology. Business advice assemblages are continuously constituted and enacted via micro-exchange processes of adviser, advice taker and socio-material environment. The paper contributes to the business advice and the strategic entrepreneurship literature.
