Abstract
Abstract: The study looks into resource-based view (RBV) in transforming circular economy (CE) through circular entrepreneurship (CEps) for gaining sustained competitive advantage. Empirical study on CEps in the lens of RBV is relatively new in the context of an emerging economy like Bangladesh. For minimizing this gap, the study adopted a case study method and interviewed managers and entrepreneurs of three largest manufacturing companies of Bangladesh to investigate their current CE practices under RBV and CE principles. The study finds; (a) entrepreneurs and managers recognise the resource heterogeneity under CE and perceived the need of required technology (b) almost all the top-level executives said that CEps can bring sustained competitive advantage (c) the concept of CE is considered similar to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR), hence it is opined that they are doing this in their organizations (d) competitive market forces for CE is not yet developed as the practices of CE principles is not popular in Bangladesh. The study also provides policy implications and future research directions.
