Abstract
This study aims to create and validate an integrated scale to measure and to optimize training effectiveness of entry level executive trainees referred as “learners”. It is essential to gauge trainee’s satisfaction and the role played by various learners’ factors in both setups, owing to its criticality in the current uncertainty. The initial items of the scale were developed by reviewing existing literature related to trainees' satisfaction in both virtual and conventional learning setups. This followed with modified scale development backed with two Focused Group Discussion (n=5), Expert Validation, Pilot Survey (n=15), Exploratory Factor Analysis (n=131), and a Confirmatory Factor Analysis along with construct validity (n=201). The paper concludes with establishing relationships of various factors from a learner’s perspective that influence learning outcome and learning satisfaction. The paper also recommends how the training effectiveness can be assessed using the Integrated Training Effectiveness Scale to know the effectiveness of trainees.
