Dr Edward O’Connor is an Assistant Professor at Management at Maynooth University, lecturing in the field of Human Resource. He gained his PhD at the Maynooth University, School of Business centring on an in-depth exploration of career motivations, actions and experiences of skilled migrants from EU10 countries currently living and working in Ireland. His research interest is in the areas of Careers, Skilled Migration, Expatriation and HRM. He has published in international peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Global Mobility, Human Relations, Journal of Business Ethics and the European Management Review. He regularly shares his research at national and international conferences. Edward is a John & Pat Hume scholar and an IRC Scholarship winner. Prior to joining academia, he worked in management, mainly in the SME sector
