Mark has been a valued member of Charles Sturt University since 2006 and currently serves as an Associate Professor within the School of Business, where he undertakes both teaching and research responsibilities. His teaching portfolio includes engaging with Australian online and on-campus students, as well as students from CSU's study partners in China. From 2011 to 2020, Mark held the position of Head of School. Since stepping down in 2020, he has continued to contribute significantly to his current role. Before joining academia, Mark built a successful 16-year career in banking with a leading Australian financial institution. During this time, he gained extensive experience across Financial Markets, Corporate Banking, and Regional Agribusiness Banking. His work in corporate banking included collaborating with some of Australia's largest agribusinesses in sectors such as wheat, cotton, chicken, dairy, and beef. Additionally, his expertise in financial markets encompassed foreign exchange, commodity futures, and interest rate products and derivatives. Between his banking career and his tenure at the university, Mark dedicated two years as a volunteer at a vocational trade high school on the Pacific Island of Pohnpei in Micronesia, demonstrating his commitment to education and community development.
