Abstract
Drawing on the Resource Based View, this study examines how human, structural and relational capital shape innovation, creativity and organisational performance in Australian privately owned but publicly regulated banks following the 2019 Royal Commission. Survey data from 315 employees across four banks informed two studies. Study 1 shows innovation and creativity partially mediate overall intellectual capital’s effect on performance. Study 2 finds human and structural capital improve performance, relational capital reduces it, and only the former are mediated by innovation and creativity.
