Biography

Dr Annabel Christie is a ROSETTA Fellow at University of Galway in Ireland and an academic and legal professional with a diverse background spanning academia, law, and the financial and public sector. Holding a law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a master in tax law from the University of London and a PhD in Strategic Management from Cranfield University, her current academic research focuses on organizational barriers to strategy implementation, including for digitalization and AI strategies. Annabel has published in leading peer reviewed journals and written chapters for encyclopedias and handbooks. Fluent in English, Czech, Slovak, German, and Russian, she has designed and delivered courses, including at University of Tartu, to undergraduate, MSc and MBA students and professionals in management and strategic practices and innovation. Annabel is actively involved in various professional organizations, and convenor of professional groups fostering discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence in organisations. In addition to her academic career, she is a qualified lawyer and has worked in top City of London law firms and later founded her own law firm. Further professional experience includes working for local government and working in one of the top UK hedge funds.
