Biography

Md. Rayatul Islam is a higher education professional and finance educator at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), where he serves as Senior Officer, Outreach, Extension & Continuing Education (OECE) in the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor and has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer in Finance. He has more than a decade of combined experience in higher education teaching, academic administration, outreach and continuing education, program management, and institutional initiatives. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance from Lancaster University Management School, UK, and an MBA and BBA in Finance from Independent University, Bangladesh. His professional work encompasses the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of academic and professional development programs, alongside broader responsibilities in university administration and institutional development. His research interests include higher education organizational effectiveness, institutional assessment and governance, academic leadership, organizational performance, and strategic financial management and sustainability in higher education, with particular interest in financial governance, resource allocation, and institutional decision-making.
