Abstract
This developmental paper examines higher education organizational effectiveness (HEOE) among private universities in Bangladesh. The paper explores earlier validated frameworks for assessing HEOE domains (Cameron, 1981; Cameron and Tschirhart, 1992) and proposes adoptions or adaptations of these earlier studies' frameworks for the context of Bangladesh. The study adopts a qualitative, interview study approach with data coding and thematic analysis to gain a greater understanding of HEOE in Bangladesh. The sample includes vice chancellors and pro-vice chancellors from the country's private universities and senior government officials directly associated with the country's higher education sector. The study's findings will inform private university leadlership and regulatory bodies in Bangladesh, along with HEOE researhers.
