Biography

Irina Turaliyeva, CFA, MCC, is a Doctoral Researcher at Henley Business School, University of Reading, Department of Leadership, Organisation, Behaviour and Reputation. Her research examines leadership mechanisms that build organisational and financial resilience under sustained uncertainty, using a multi-level perspective across individual, organisational, and institutional contexts. Irina is a Master Certified Coach (ICF) and a member of the International Coach Federation since 2017. She has over 17 years of senior executive and board-level experience in international banking and finance, having held leadership roles and management board positions in VTB, HSBC, ABN AMRO, Bank of America, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Her experience includes serving as Deputy Chairman and Member of the Management Board, Chief Financial Officer, Chair and Deputy Chair of ALCO and Budget Committees, and Board Member of CFA Institute Kazakhstan, with direct responsibility for strategy, finance, treasury, risk, and organizational transformation. She is fluent in English and Russian, has studied and worked in Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates, and Kazakhstan, and combines deep financial expertise with leadership development and coaching practice.
