Abstract
This integrative literature review examines how leadership mechanisms build and connect organisational and financial resilience under conditions of sustained and radical uncertainty. Although resilience has become central to management research, existing scholarship remains fragmented across organisational and financial domains, with limited theorisation of their interaction. Drawing on 145 peer reviewed sources identified through a PRISMA guided process, the study develops an integrative multi level framework linking leadership, financial discretion, and adaptive capability. Financial resilience is conceptualised as an enabling condition grounded in liquidity and flexibility, while organisational resilience is framed as a dynamic capability supporting learning and transformation. The review shows that financial resilience supports stabilisation, whereas organisational resilience converts stability into renewal and sustained performance. Leadership mechanisms, defined as governance processes rather than styles, shape how organisations move from bounce back to bounce forward. The study advances resilience and leadership theory and proposes directions for longitudinal, multi level research.
