Abstract
This study seeks to investigate the personality traits contributing to irresponsible management
within companies, with a specific focus on those of key decision-makers such as CEOs and
other top management team members. To do so, this study is grounded on two established
theoretical frameworks: the Upper Echelon Theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior.
Additionally, this research adopts a rigorous approach to systematically gather, assess, and
analyze existing knowledge with the dual aim of establishing a comprehensive research
agenda. As a result, upon completion, this research will have significant implications for
academics, professionals, investors, policymakers, and stakeholders alike.
